Zika in ASEAN

The virus was initially found in April 1947 on rhesus macaque in jungle-izgaki, near Uruguay, by a team of yellow fever research institutes. The second species of A. africanus was found in the same place in January 1948 and was discovered when the monkey was fever and scientists discovered in serum and named it Zacka in the same year.

A) Symptoms:


Most of the patients (about 70% to 80%) do not exhibit any symptoms, but possible symptoms, such as:
• Fever
• Symptoms on the skin (such as red marks, on the skin)
• Muscle pain and arthritis
• Eye redness (Irritation of Conjunctive Eye)
• Others associated symptoms;
• Fatigue
• Headache.
• The digestive tract (diarrhea, nausea…)


C) Diagnostic determination:

D) Evolution of the disease:
The morbidity rate of the disease is still low. Most of the disease develops from 2 days to 7 days.
However, the disease can be disastrous after infection, such as paralysis, which is caused by a neurological disorder (Guillain-Barré). E) Treatment:
